You send us a request
We like to move fast, so we’ll get back to you within 3 days with a quote. After you sign off on the quote, you pay only 25% for us to get started.
We check in with you halfway
You have a chance to give feedback. If you’re not in love, we won’t charge you anything else.
We deliver you the finished piece — fast
We’ll be as excited as you are to see your world come to life, so you can expect us to finish the piece within two to three weeks.
Frequently asked questions
I need this map fast! How quickly can I expect to receive my custom cartography?
Our typical turnaround time for black and white line art maps is two to three weeks. More detailed maps take more time. Please send us an inquiry and we’ll get back to you with an estimate, free of charge.
What if I need my custom map faster?
We accept rush orders at an additional upfront cost of 50% of the total piece. If your map is a rush order, please say so in your inquiry and we will get back to you ASAP. We do our best to accommodate all rush orders, but they are subject to availability.
How do you accept payments?
We accept all major credit cards and Venmo. We process credit cards securely through Stripe. Payments by credit card are subject to a 3% fee.
How much do you charge?
You can expect to pay 25% before we begin, but only after you have signed off on our proposal. With over thirty years of combined experience making maps, we’re confident that you’ll love our work. However, you’re the expert of your world; we’re just here to help bring it to life. That’s why at the midpoint of our process, we send a draft for you to review. Only then — after you’ve had a chance to send feedback and agree to proceed — will we charge you an additional 25%. Finally, before we deliver the finished custom cartography, we charge the remaining 50%.
Why do I have to pay 25% up front?
We’re busy people! We create custom cartography for weekly D&D, Pathfinder, and other fantasy games in addition to regularly contributing to community gaming projects. That 25% is a retainer on our time. It’s a guarantee that we can prioritize working for you on top of our existing commitments.
How will the files be delivered?
All our maps are hand-drawn in digital format. We will deliver you the final high-resolution maps in PSD, PDF, JPEG, PNG, and TIFF formats.
